Study In The UK

University Foundation Programme

The International Foundation year helps student fulfill the necessary academic requirements for them to progress into a university. It is a six or nine-month programme of study that prepares international students for life at the university.

This programme is intended for international students that are high school graduates allowing them to bridge the gap between a student’s previous education and what is expected of him/her at the university. Successful graduates of the programme are guaranteed admission to a university.

During the foundation year the students will learn essential study skills such as: essay writing, critical thinking and independent research as well as academic English.

Admission Requirements

• WAEC/TRANSCRIPT from High School
• International Passport Data Page
• English Proficiency (IELTS UKVI /PEARSON/TOEFL)

Bachelor’s, International Year One & Top Up Programmes

The Bachelor’s Programme
is a 3-4 year programme dependent on the course and country of study. On completion, students receive a Bachelor’s degree enabling them to actualise the skills and training in practice.

Our partnership with a large number of top-rated colleges and universities across the globe makes it easy for us to place our students into the university of their choice if they meet their requirements.

The International Year One (IYO) and Top Up Programme
is for students who have taken a foundation programme in their home country and are seeking to come into the UK to commence a Bachelor’s programme. In this case, students would take an IYO programme and upon completion progress to year 2.

However, this is different in the case of a Top-Up programme. Top-up programmes are designed for students with a third Class or HND certificate. The programme allows the student to complete the total requirements necessary for a Bachelor’s programme (one year) after
which they are conferred with a Bachelor’s degree. Students in the third class category may use this new certificate to boost their profile instead of relying on their prior third class qualification.

Pre-Master’s & Master’s Programmes

Pre-Master’s programmes are developed for students who plan to obtain a Master’s degree in an area different from their Bachelor’s qualification. An example of this would be a student with a degree in Business Administration enrolling for a course in Cybersecurity.

In order to achieve this, students would undertake the 8 months – 12 months pre-master’s course. By the end of this programme, students may then apply to a Master’s degree course. The Pre-Master’s programme is also suitable for students with a third class or pass qualification.

Note:
Students planning to take a Pre-Master’s programme in the UK are unable to be accompanied by dependents.

In the United Kingdom, the duration of a Master’s programme is 12 months, after which the student may be eligible to apply for a 2-year post-study work visa in order to gain some work employment experience.
Students in this category may be accompanied by their dependents.
